Mac's Fire & Safety then moved into the downtown business district with a store and shop in the 100 block of N. State Street during the mid 1970's. Fire suppression systems and service for restaurants were added. This expanded our service to a multi-county area. By 1978, Mac's Fire & Safety had relocated to a larger building at 104 S. Jackson. More products and services were added; including fire and security alarm systems, closed circuit TV, two-way radios fire department supplies, rescue tools, and In 1994, Mac's began manufacturing Class A Wetting Agent, which is designed to be added directly to the booster tank and also Training Foam. These items are available in one quart to 55-gallon containers. In 2000, in order to better serve our customers in both the areas of sales and services, Mac's began construction of a 12,000 sq. foot facility adjacent to the existing facility. We have sales personnel operating in eight states. Major brands we handle are: Amerex, Akron Brass, Draeger Safety, Able 2 Products, Ademco, Flamefighter, Grace Industries, Streamlight, Kochek, South Park, Paul Conway Shields, Vertex/Standard, R & B ![]() |
